Chiropractor, Tampa: When to go to your Chiropractor before your MD?

Chiropractor, Tampa: When to go to your Chiropractor before your MD?
Dr. Steve Edelson, of Tampa, Florida says, "I recommend to do the least invasive, and the most natural healing method first. That means going to your chiropractor before making the decision to go to an MD." Most people, however, are medically oriented. They would rather take a magic pill to get better. We, as a society, have been trained from a young age to think this way. The A.M.A. (american medical association) has done a fantastic job in educating the public on how to think. This way of thinking does not include any other health care, and even frowns upon them. The AMA has been trying to discredit chiropractic for years. However, every time they attempt to do so, it only strengthens chiropractic. The reason for this lays in the results that people get when they go to a chiropractor. Chiropractic works. Often times, people will come to a chiropractor as a last effort to resolving an issue. And, often times they find relief from chiropractic care, when the medical profession failed them. Let us be clear on when a visit to an MD should be the first choice. You should absolutely go to the MD if any of the following are your issues: chest pain, shortness of breath, broken bones, infections, severe cuts and lacerations, and when chiropractic does not help. For most aches and pains, go to see a chiropractor first. Many of these issues are caused by joints that are misaligned, which irritate nerves. This causes pain and can also cause malfunction in your body's health. The chiropractor can quickly and inexpensively detect and correct this problem. The result is that a majority of your health concerns will resolved from the chiropractic adjustment. Ideally, the best recommendation is to utilize both of these professions. They are there for you and are at your disposal. But, instead of taking drugs or having surgery, try to have your chiropractor restore your body's normal function by eliminating nerve irritation and correcting joint position and mobility. Dr. Edelson says, "It always amuses me to hear the drug commercials talk about how wonderful a certain drug is, and then to add that the side effects can cause cancer, heart attacks, constipation and death. People should pay more attention to the possible side effects before opting for medical treatment before choosing the natural alternative that is chiropractic."
